Art and Archaeology in the American Funny Pages

As my friends and family know all too well–I’ve been talking about almost nothing else for three years since I moved to Spain!–for a retirement (and now pandemic) project, I have been working on a collection of art- and archaeology-themed cartoons and comic strips my wife and I clipped out of our local Boston and New Hampshire newspapers from 2011 to 2017. After going back to the “drawing board” several times, I have now finished a draft of this project, Art and Archaeology in the American Funny Pages. It contains many hundreds of copyrighted cartoons and comic strips that I include under a “fair use” policy for a non-commercial analytical study. Please feel free to share my study and to use it in any way that you like, but please note that almost all of the images it contains are subject to Fair Use restrictions.
